The school is run by a Board of Governors comprising Parent, Teacher, Community and Local Authority representatives plus co-opted members.

The Governing Body of Milldene Primary School was re-constituted in 2012 and is now made up of 2 staff governors (including the Headteacher), 3 elected Parent Governors, 1 Local Authority Governor and 5 Co-opted governors.

Co-opted governors are appointed by the Governing Body and are people who, in the opinion of the governing body, have the skills required to contribute to the effective governance and success of the school.

The full Governing Body meets once each term, and we also have a number of committees to consider different aspects of the school in detail.

At Milldene Primary we have a Resources Committee ( dealing with personnel, premises and finance) and a Curriculum, Standards and Community Links Committee. We also have committees that meet if required to consider pupil discipline and staffing matters.

If you have any matters you wish to draw to the attention of the Governing Body then please contact one of the Parent Governors for advice or contact the school office if you are unsure of the procedures.

Parents can put forward resolutions for the Governing Body to consider.
