School Council

School Council meets regularly and is made up of democratically elected pupils from each class, (Years 1 – 6). The School Council enables different classes to have a voice in how they feel we could improve our school further. It discusses issues and ideas that need to be addressed at a whole school level. The elected pupils represent the views of their own class at the school council meeting and then report back to their class on the outcome.

Over the recent years the School Council have successfully campaigned for improved playground markings and funding for playground equipment.  They have run charity coffee mornings, guided visitors around the school and lead ideas for raising money for Children in Need, Sports Relief and Comic Relief.

School Council, and the class council meetings they run, form part of our PSHE curriculum which enables children to develop as individuals who can make a positive contribution to their school community.
